St. John Bosco Catholic Learning Community offers a full range of academic and non-academic programming to support success for all students in attaining their high school goals. In collaboration with students, families and community partners, we prepare our students to succeed in their chosen pathway, whether it be university, college, apprenticeship or the world of work.

Courses are offered at the Academic/University,  Locally Developed/Workplace, and Applied/College streams.  In discussion with teachers, lessons are differentiated to suit student strengths.   We also offer Dual Credit programs in partnership with Conestoga College that allows students in Grades 11 or higher to earn high school and college credits at the same time.

Some of the key components and beliefs of St. John Bosco Secondary School are:
  • three expectations or understandings:  Show Up, Do Your Best, Be Respectiful
  • strong, healthy relationships with staff and peers promote learning and motivation
  • strengths-based education promotes self-confidence and learning
  • healthy food through the Food and Friends program promotes learning and healthy living
  • individualized pathways and education plans promote the development of the whole person ( the mental, spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of each learner)
